Product description
The product is obtained through a chemical process from ammonium nitrate and ammonium sulphate. It contains dolomite dust, composed primarily from calcium and magnesium.
Saletrosan® 26 macro is a fertilizer containing nitrogen in two forms - ammonium NH4 and nitrate NO3 as well as sulphur in a form of SO4.
Application and use
The characteristics of this fertilizer is the presence of two forms of nitrogen which are well absorbed by plants – acting quickly nitrate form, not absorbed in the soil, and acting slowly ammonium form, binding with soil colloids in the process of physical and chemical (exchangeable) sorption. Therefore the fertilizer can be used both prior to sowing and for topdressing fertilization (similarly to ammonium nitrate).
The presence of nitrogen in the form of ammonium guarantees extended availability of this component for plants which is particularly important for crops with a long vegetation season (e.g. maize for grain). Sulphate ion, present in saletrosan 26 macro, is the easiest accessible form of sulphur for plants. Relatively high content of sulphur (13%) allows adapting the optimum dosage of fertilizer, considering the demand of the cultivated plants for this element. Owing to its optimal composition, the product is intended for fertilizing ia.: corn, rapeseed, winter grains, summer grains, sugar beet, potatoes and grassland.

- Saletrosan® 26 macro contains sulphur in sulphate form, quickly absorbed by plants,
- proper ratio of nitrogen to sulphur (2:1) in the fertilizer makes it easier to calculate the dose needed by plants,
- fertilizing with Saletrosan® 26 macro prevents sulphur loss from soil and increases the crop quality of cultivated plants.
Packing and transport
Saletrosan® 26 macro is packed in:
- 25kg and 50kg polyethylene bags,
- 500kg big-bags,
- bulk.
The fertilizer should be transported by means of transport which protect the product from moisture, precipitation, direct sunlight and damage to the packaging.
Saletrosan® 26 macro is not a hazardous product according to ADR, RID and IMDG regulations.
Storage
Saletrosan® 26 macro should be stored in closed, dry and clean rooms with a floor which insulates the product from humidity, far from substances which may come into reaction with it.
